Automated Counter Installed for Faster Service

We want you to have a pleasant experience when you come in to deposit your used beverage containers. Your recycling experience is now faster, easier, and more efficient at Trail Bottle Depot! To avoid long queues and missing counts of your containers and bottles, we have installed a new aluminum can and plastic bottle counting machine (TOMRA) at our facility for accurate counting. For your convenience, we have a new ATM machine, so you do not have to wait in line for a cashier. Happy recycling!

Donate Your Recyclable Containers

As a proud partner of the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, we give you an opportunity to help us with your donation to the foundation. If you come in to deposit your recyclable containers and do not take a refund for them, you can simply put the cash in the collection bin we have at our facility for the foundation.

How Do I Know Which Beverage Containers to Save?

In Alberta, most ready-to-drink beverage containers are accepted at Trail Bottle Depot except for oil-based coffee creamer containers. When you finish a carton of milk or a bottle of juice, do not throw the container into the trash. Opt for bottle recycling in Calgary, AB, and fill your pockets with cash! You have paid a deposit on that container, and we will refund that deposit when you bring it to our bottle recycle centre in Calgary, AB. To get your deposit refund, simply collect your empties, pack them up and bring them to us – it is that easy!
